The operation is manned from 07h00 – 00h00 daily by co-ordinators knowledgeable in all logistical matters such as the grouping of bags, areas, time, distances and communication which is prime in this industry.


All deliveries are logged prior to dispatch enabling us to provide an immediate update or ETA on request. Be assured that all bags are delivered the same day and will only be stored overnight on request by the airline(s).


All replacement bags are sourced and purchased directly from the suppliers and not through the retailers, enabling us to offer Comair Ltd discounted prices. We are able to purchase various brands, styles and sizes, from the entry level bag to your Delsey, Paklite, Cellini and Samsonite range.

The Bag Guyz (PTY) Ltd t/a PDS is a level 4 BBBEE company servicing the aviation industry for the past seventeen years and priding ourselves on service delivery namely baggage delivery, repairs and replacements. The company was established with the sole purpose in mind to develop and nurture an effective, efficient, honest and a transparent baggage delivery, repair and replacement service (one stop shop) to the airlines which to date we have achieved making us leaders in this industry. With experienced staff and a hands-on approach, matters are dealt with effectively and efficiently.

We have also established a professional relationship with all the airlines, LPOs and handling agents alike.

Our Offices

We have individually managed offices and equipped workshops at Cape Town International Airport, O.R. Tambo International Airport, King Shaka International Airport, Port Elizabeth Airport and now at Hosea Kutako International Airport Windhoek and soon at George Airport.

The repair and replacement process is as effectively managed nationally. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are the only service provider with fully equipped workshops at CTIA, KSIA, ORTIA and PLZ Airport employing three in-house repairers at CTIA which not only improves the turnaround time to your passengers and the out stations but is also a huge cost saving factor to you the client.


PDS is represented at all the stations and have access to the necessary resources to improve and bolster service delivery when the need or contract arises.

We also have an overnight long distance service available which can save you the client up to 30% on your long distance deliveries. This service is subject to certain T’s & C’s such as destination, weight, cost and urgency.

All our vehicles are company owned and branded. Staff are uniformed as we are the extension of the airline(s) we service. All vehicles and the contents thereof (goods in transit) are insured.

  • PDS stocks

    PDS stocks entry level suitcases in various sizes at all our stations making it possible for the airlines to undertake the urgent / same day replacement.

  • Turnaround Time

    The turnaround time for both repairs and replacements are the same day to five working days depending on supplier availability of either stock or spares.

  • Damaged Bags

    PDS can also assist Comair Ltd in streamlining and managing this process by introducing a “Repair & Replacement Authorisation Form” which is to be completed by all LPO staff when handing over a damaged bag.

  • Replacement Process

    We e-mail a weekly R&R report enabling the team leaders / management to manage the replacement process and cost. Another measure introduced is that a replacement can only be authorised via an e-mail from a manager. These systems are currently in place for all of our clients and have proven to be very effective.
